Tantec EST, Inc.  is currently seeking a Technical Product Support Specialist to join our team. This position will be in Glendale Height, Illinois.  Tantec is a small company providing Surface treatment equipment around the world for almost 50yrs.

Position Overview:

Seeking a Technical Product Support Specialist with strong customer service skills and technical aptitude to assist our customers via in person, phone, and email. This position will appeal to you if you are a problem solver with strong Customer Service Professionalism.  This position must be flexible to meet the demands of a small company where you will wear many hats and your contributions will be seen. You should have a strong attention to detail, electrical skills, some mechanical skills, computer skills, and a multi-tasker who loves interacting with clients and providing exceptional customer service and solving problems!

The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and thrive in a team environment with focus on quality, initiative, and drive. Service calls range from basic and routine to moderately complex requiring on site troubleshooting in some cases. The Technical Product Support Representative will respond to customer inquiries by following troubleshooting steps, referring to published materials, secondary sources, or seeking assistance from senior staff. Candidates must keep detailed records of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken using Tantec’s CRM system. Technical aptitude is essential.

In This Function You Will:

  • Provide post-sales technical support to customers including troubleshooting, investigating, and resolving technical problems that arise during and after product installation
  • Respond to routine inquiries from customers about the technical aspects of our products and services
  • Monitor and resolve recurring more complex problems to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction
  • Accurately document service request activities and troubleshooting steps
  • Troubleshooting that will require hands-on work
  • Troubleshooting that will require on site visits and support
  • Performing maintenance on existing equipment in the field
  • Will service a variety of applications, equipment, and industries Tantec serves
  • Provide in house support with applications testing
  • Shows initiative and strong desire to grow
  • Warehousing and inventory as needed

Qualifications Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years customer service experience
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
  • Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally

  • Technical Customer Service experience Position Criteria

  • Exhibits patience when assisting non-technical clients
  • Service oriented, self-confident, and dependable
  • Min of 3 yrs electrical experience or training
