About the seminar
Tantec A/S has invited the leading scientist, Prof. Dr. Michael Thomas from Fraunhofer Institute for Surface Engineering and Thin Films IST, Germany, to give a lecture in surface treatment. The focus of the seminar will be based on the general and functional understanding of surfaces and application via plasma and corona surface treatment systems.
The seminar is geared towards those in research and development, users of plasma and corona
solutions today or wish to be doing so, and to the decision makers.
We will also present Tantec solutions and share our core competencies. Our equipment will be on-site and avalaible for demonstration.
The seminar will include discussions and experience sharing. With your participation you will have the unique opportunity to get knowledge about a specific challenge you may have.
Prof. Dr. Michael Thomas, Fraunhofer Institute
Prof. Dr. Michael Thomas is the head of the Department of Interfacial Chemistry and adaptive Adhesion at the Fraunhofer Institute for Surface Engineering and Thin Films (IST), Germany, and has more than 20 years’ experience in surface technology. Trained as a chemist, his work is focused on fundamental and industrial projects of surface treatment and coatings in the area of plasma processes at atmospheric pressure, with specific interest in adhesion, sustainability and circular economy for wide range of applications. He has published more than 30 technical papers and professional articles and holds 10 patents on the topic of atmospheric pressure plasma technology.
